Overall, I would give this book four and a half stars. I really liked it, but I think there could have been some improvements. For example, I felt the ending was incomplete. We leave off where Vivian's long lost daughter was coming to visit Vivian and Molly. I felt this was dissatisfying because I wanted to know what happened when they met. Molly has prepared for weeks for this visit, and all we get is a brief hello. I also wanted to know more about Molly and Jack's relationship. It didn't seem to develop throughout the book. The one point of change in their relationship was when Molly went to stay with Vivian, and Jack got upset. They made up, and that was it. Why is their relationship even included? Even though there were some things I thought needed to be developed, there were some things I really enjoyed. For example, when we saw a glimpse into Vivian's past, I felt transported into this old-timey New York, a bustling city. I also, although it lacked spark, enjoyed Molly and Jack's quirky relationship, the unlikely coupling of an invisible Goth chick and the popular boy'. Also, I was impressed with the facts and hard work that was put into the novel.
